The Guna Foundation is a small, all-volunteer production studio in Berkeley, California. We offer the beauty, spirit and knowledge of the Buddhist traditions through documentary films that emphasize the precious heritage that these teachings provide for all of humanity. We ask for your financial support for our efforts to provide access to these ancient traditions that are so relevant in a world of accelerating change, uncertainty, and chaos. The Guna Foundation is funded entirely by individual donations.

Documentary Film Projects: Your donations allow Guna to continue work on our documentary film projects, chronicling over forty years of Tarthang Tulku’s and his students’ monumental accomplishments in preserving Tibetan civilization. These efforts have been a beacon of light at a time when Tibetan culture is caught in the darkest hour of its long history.

Outreach and Awareness Efforts: Our foundation strives to promote awareness of Tibet’s endangered civilization through various public events and programs, such as benefit dinners, photo exhibits, seminars, and media outreach. Your donations allow us to continue this valuable work.

Preserving the Legacy of the Dharma: Your donations allow us to continue our work to preserve the living expression of the Buddhadharma through the promotion of the aesthetic and wisdom treasures of the Buddhist tradition, and our efforts to archive the historical legacy of the TNMC.
